Steve has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry working with the healthcare industry providing insurance consulting and risk management advice. He began his career as a management trainess for a large insurance company developing broad based skills in underwriting, administration and claims management. Transitioning to complex risk management and alternative risk financing developing extensive expertise in the formation and management of large captive and group insurance programs, Steve went on to join the insurance brokerage industry focusing on the healthcare industry nationally and internationally. He has worked with the nations largest healthcare organizations in for-profit and not-for-profit integrated delivery systems, skilled nursing facilities, managed care, physician practices and biotechnology to develop programs that mitigate risk and preserve capital. 

Joining Aon, the world’s largest insurance brokerage company, in 1994 Steve was one of the founding principals of Aon’s National Healthcare Practice.  During his stewardship the business grew 20% annually to over $200 million in revenue.  Working collaboratively with offices in the US and around the world to develop, market and service healthcare industry clients. 

Steve joined Beecher Carlson in 2005 as a Partner to co-manage a national healthcare practice which grew to $18 million in 5 years. In 2010, Steve along with other partners formed Strategy Management Insurance a Managing General Agency for a physician professional liability program in the Mid-Atlantic growing the business to $15 million in 6 years. In 2016 Steve formed Huntington Bay Risk Solutions providing retail and wholesale insurance solutions to the healthcare industry.

Steve is a graduate of St. John’s University and Hofstra University attaining a BS and MBA in Finance.
